The Fifth Witness is the fourth book in Michael Connelly's series about Mickey Haller, the unconventional lawyer who does most of his work from his office in a Lincoln Town Car. Movie goers will recognize this character from the recent blockbuster movie adaptation of the first book in the series, The Lincoln Lawyer.
Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer hit movie theaters this weekend after much anticipation by fans of Connelly’s books. My daughter read and loved the book and was among those waiting anxiously. While I had not read the book, the previews promised a great mystery/suspense movie.
Let’s just face it; the law is too often corrupt, boring, and brutal. There aren’t many interesting things you can draw from it. People see lawyers as evil, money-grubbing leeches; that is what I thought until I read The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly. This book changed the way I looked at lawyers and the law.
