Jon Koobatian is best known as the owner and head chef of Jon’s Bear Club in Reedley, California. His history with the Bear Club (he added Jon’s to the name when he became the owner) started many years before that. Jon was born in Dinuba, California and has had a love for food for most of his life.

This week we have a video interview with local chef Jon Koobatian. Jon grew up in Dinuba, and went on to be the owner and head chef at Jon’s Bear Club in Reedley. He recently published a cookbook and has been doing some local book events and cooking demonstrations. Once you enter the brown, inconspicuous building of Jon’s Bear Club through its back entrance, you are immediately immersed in a comfortable, relaxed and well-to-do setting, without it feeling overbearing for the average eater, like myself.
