Here we are in the 12th week of the COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying shutdown, with a return to normal—whatever that was—still far away. We’ve worked from home, done our best to keep our kids mentally stimulated without going flat-out mental ourselves, practiced social distancing on those rare occasions when we braved going out in public, and embraced facial coverings as a fashion accessory.

Fresno bluesman John Clifton has been performing both locally and internationally since the 1980s, and with his new album, “Let Yourself Go” (Rip Cat Records), which released last month, it’s safe to say he and his band (including guitarist Scott Abeta, drummer John Shafer, and his son, bassist Grant Clifton) won’t be slowing down any time soon.
Kings River Life caught up with the award-winning musician for a chat during his current tour in Poland.
