Suicide. Scary word, right? Every year over 36,000 people take their own lives. Every 15 minutes someone commits suicide in the United States alone. That’s a little over one hundred people a day and that does not include failed attempts.

We return to Bon Temps to follow the continuing journey of Sookie Stackhouse our favorite telepathic waitress, well one my favorites anyways, as she deals with all sorts of supernatural problems surrounding her life. This book finds Sookie in danger, as her boyfriend Eric Northman the vampire Viking blows into town with payback on his mind, a shifter is out to get her, and there is more fairy trouble because of something she inherited in the last book.

A cold case, a death by misadventure and a murder all link together to make a great read in the second of the series featuring Bella Kowalski. She’s a former nun, now married to Mike and the lucky person who gets to write obituaries for the Chronicle.

Mr. Monk Is A Mess picks up where Mr. Monk On Patrol left off, with Natalie and Monk working as cops in Summit, New Jersey for Randy Disher who is Sheriff there and acting Mayor. They have both decided to take the jobs permanently and have only to return to San Francisco to pack up their things and move. And of course break the news to Natalie’s daughter Julie and their friends.

We are SO very excited to be able to share with KRL readers not only a review of Amber Benson’s new urban fantasy novel How To Be Death, but also a wonderful interview with the absolutely charming and sweet Amber! We also have a copy of How To Be Death to give away–details at the end of this post. For those who don’t know, Amber played Tara in the best TV show ever (in my personal opinion) Buffy The Vampire Slayer!
