KRL has always enjoyed shining the spotlight on local creators—whether they are singers, musicians, dancers, filmmakers, artists, writers, or actors. This week we are chatting with local actor Chris Giese who has been seen on the stage with Reedley’s River City Theatre Co. many times, as well as at Hobb’s Grove every Halloween, and in several indie movies. Born in Dinuba, Chris now lives in Fresno.

It's October, Halloween is just around the corner and everywhere you go, it's all about the pumpkins. If you've really got that autumn feeling down in your bones and feel the need to celebrate those orange gourds, Farmer Billy Bob Hobb's Pumpkin Grove is the place for you (and your kids, too). Since 2010, the Pumpkin Grove has provided a family-friendly alternative to the scary, night time haunted-house attractions that are all the rage with teenagers and adults but are too intense for children.

Hobb's Grove in Sanger has been a Halloween staple in the Valley and beyond since 1999. People travel from all over to go there during the Halloween season. They have won awards and been listed consistently in the top haunts in the nation! Every year at KRL, we have written something about Hobb's Grove.
