Fresno Bully Rescue: Blue’s Bucket List

My dog, Blue, died in July of this year. Anyone who has lost a pet understands how very difficult this is. The heartbreak is deep. Your house doesn’t sound the same. Paw-pitter-patter silence is almost unbearable. Toys, blankets, and food dishes are left in place because removing them doesn’t seem right. It’s been a tough time, yet there is also a side of me that feels content and grateful.

To some people, Billie would appear to be the least likely dog anyone would want to adopt. She was old, in her last years, and sitting in the stray building at the Fresno SPCA. Her breath did not resemble the sweet smell that puppies blow in your face, nor would she be the best exercise partner with her tired legs. Yet, Pablo and Melani saw only a beautiful little dog that had endured a hard life, and who so badly needed a loving home.

The gold medal for all-around wonderful kitty could easily go to darling Chicken Little! This cutiepie never misses an opportunity to hoot it up with her friends, explore any nook or cranny, and make it her mission to check out whatever happens to be going on. Chicken Little came along way after suffering a toe injury calling for immediate amputation. She's all better now and you can't even notice she's missing a rear toe. What an adorable combination she is of fun-loving spirit and sweet, deep affection, a girl who will easily capture hearts in a forever family that cherishes her.
