I think it is safe to say that almost everyone is familiar with the classic children's story, Charlotte's Web. It is the story of an unlikely friendship between a pig and a spider--a friendship so strong that Charlotte the spider would do anything to save the life of the silly little pig named Wilbur.
Take a book of fairy tales (Three Little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, etc.), rip out the pages, put them in a blender, add three scoops of puns, and flip the switch. When you’re finished, you might have A Walk in the Woods, the Enchanted Playhouse production now playing at the Main Street Theatre in Visalia through October 21.
This last month has been a time of swords and heroes for us here at KRL--first we had Camelot at Roger Rocka's, and this weekend we saw Robin Hood at the Enchanted Playhouse in Visalia.

They produce shows that are great for the whole family to see together, and especially fun for kids. It's also a great place for kids to get a taste of being in theatre.
Children’s theatre helps young audiences learn how to act at a live performance, and helps performers learn confidence, how to express themselves, and control. The Enchanted Playhouse production of The Elves and the Shoemaker in Visalia is a good example of this.

Mr. Fox is a thief. He is a thief without a tail, thanks to the local farmers, but he is a fox with a family, friends, and big plans, in Roald Dahl’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox, adapted for the stage by Debbie Metzler. It’s onstage at Visalia’s Enchanted Playhouse through May 2.
Long, long ago, Christopher Robin Milne had a toy bear. He called the bear Winnie the Pooh. Christopher’s father, A. A. Milne, wrote stories about Christopher and Pooh and Piglet and Tigger and Owl and Kanga and Roo and Rabbit and Eeyore…and the world thought it was cute.
Pedro, The Angel of Olvera Street is at the Enchanted Playhouse in Visalia, and it’s a wonderful mixture of Christmas Spirit and multiculturalism without an overdose of sugar.
