I have been in love with the story of King Arthur and Camelot for as long as I can remember. I grew up with the movie, and have seen the show on stage three times now. It is a story and world that I adore, and a musical full of fun songs and characters. When I heard that the Good Company Players were producing the show this season, I couldn't wait to see it! Camelot is based on the book The Once and Future King by T.H. White. It is a classic Lerner and Loewe musical.
This Valley is blessed with so much talent and one of my favorite features in KRL is our local actor profiles--introducing our readers to the people behind that talent. Most of the actors/directors we have profiled have been in theatre for years, but once in awhile we decide to feature a young talent that has caught our eye--one of those was Benjamin McNamara, and this week we are profiling another--Daniel Hernandez, who can currently be seen on stage at Roger Rocka's in Singin' In The Rain.
This past year I had the pleasure of seeing Emily Pessano on stage, first in The Drowsy Chaperone and then again in Legally Blonde, both at Roger Rocka’s in Fresno. As soon as I saw her on stage, I knew I had to add her to my list of local actor profiles—she just blew me away with an incredible voice, great dancing, and acting. She simply glows on stage!
