Maleficent: Movie Review

by Sheryl Wall

Maleficent is a Disney movie about her life and how she became known as an evil fairy. It's a new take on the story of Sleeping Beauty. The movie starts out with Maleficent as a young yet powerful fairy in the peaceful Magical Moors that borders the human land and how she met a human boy and fell in love with him. Stefan, the young boy, grows up and doesn't come back for many years.

Monsters University: Movie Review

by Jessica Ham

Everyone loves the story of the two brave monsters who befriended a little human named Boo in Monsters Inc. So of course everyone was dieing to see the prequel, Monsters University. I looked forward to this movie for years and had high expectations. And let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. The characters stayed true to themselves and made me laugh, cry, and cheer as they conquered the craziness of college.

Wreck-It Ralph: Movie Review

by Roy Runnels

Wreck-It Ralph is a different kind of movie. It’s one that many will enjoy, but for those that understand all the video game references, it will be one filled nostalgia. The sheer amount of Easter eggs and homages that Disney managed to pack into this movie is unbelievable. Even if you understand just a few of the references you’ll find yourself smiling. Whether it’s Bowser from the Mario games sitting in a meeting or a Metal Gear Solid reference that I won’t spoil, the movie consistently made me grin.

Brave: Movie Review

Set in Scotland during the 10th century, the princess defies the old age custom of marrying the first-born son of the clan chiefs under her father’s rule by competing for her own hand to avoid getting married. All this much to the chagrin of her mother, the Queen Elinor, who has been preparing her, her entire life as a princess.
