Lion King Jr. Presented by Children’s Musical Theaterworks

by Destiney Warren

Everyone loves Lion King. I mean it has everything: romance, adventure, plots against kings, and even a little family drama, all while being a cute Disney movie the whole family can enjoy. Children’s Musical Theaterworks takes Disney’s Lion King Jr and presents a musical that everyone can enjoy as well—whether you have a kid in the cast or not. My boyfriend and I didn’t know anyone in the show, and we still had a great night.

Little Mermaid Jr. Presented by CMT

by Lorie Lewis Ham

This weekend we went to see Little Mermaid Jr. presented by Children's Musical Theaterworks (CMT) in Fresno. I had never seen a Jr. production of a show before, nor had I seen one of CMT's productions where the cast ranges in age from 13 to 18 (I have only seen their Underground shows), so I didn't know what the expect. What followed was a lovely evening with a show presented by some very talented kids.

Tarzan Jr. Presented by CMT

by Terrance Mc Arthur

Children’s Musical Theaterworks likes a challenge. Tarzan Jr., an adapted, simplified version of the Broadway musical, with book by David Henry Hwang, based on the Disney film with music and lyrics by Phil Collins, based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ 1910 novel Tarzan of the Apes, is a challenge.
