From Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, Lionel Bart fashioned the musical Oliver! which opened in London in 1960, toured the USA in 1962, and opened on Broadway in 1963. Now, it is a Good Company Players production at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater through July 19.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to see The Mystery of Edwin Drood presented by the College of the Sequoias Theatre department in Visalia. I must say I had no idea what to expect, but was drawn in by the title and the cast. It turned out to be a delightful evening of theatre.

My Christmas season isn’t complete until I have seen A Christmas Carol in some form, as it is one of my favorite Christmas stories. This year I got a jump-start on that by seeing it on stage presented by Good Company Players at 2nd Space in Fresno.
