A Christmas Carol is one of my all-time favorite stories, and it sounds like Good Company Players has put a brand new twist on it! Because one of our own, Terrance McArthur, is in this show we weren’t able to manage a review, however, we did chat with the show’s director Elizabeth Fiester, and it sounds like a show you won’t want to miss! A Christmas Carol will be on stage at 2nd Space in Fresno through December 23.
I began the lockdown last spring with delight. More time to read! More time (perhaps even more importantly) to challenge myself a little. Find some authors I didn’t know about before. Read something a little difficult, a little unfamiliar, a little out of my ordinary.
Kelly Ventura will be performing a one-man show of A Christmas Carol on December 7 and 8 for only 2 performances in Visalia at the Main Street Theatre. The show is a fundraiser for The Enchanted Playhouse. We sat down to chat with Kelly about the show.
From Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, Lionel Bart fashioned the musical Oliver! which opened in London in 1960, toured the USA in 1962, and opened on Broadway in 1963. Now, it is a Good Company Players production at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater through July 19.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to see The Mystery of Edwin Drood presented by the College of the Sequoias Theatre department in Visalia. I must say I had no idea what to expect, but was drawn in by the title and the cast. It turned out to be a delightful evening of theatre.
My Christmas season isn't complete until I have seen A Christmas Carol in some form, as it is one of my favorite Christmas stories. This year I got a jump-start on that by seeing it on stage presented by Good Company Players at 2nd Space in Fresno.
