Another year has ended, and once again we take a look back at a few of the many books reviewed in KRL in 2018. All but one of our main reviewers share in this post their top 5-10 favorite books they reviewed in 2018. Our newest reviewer, Katherine Costa, wanted to include favorite authors and TV shows that she has reviewed, so hers went up in a separate post.

In 2013, I read about the misadventures of a self-absorbed, teen Latina whose skin turns gray (and she wants to eat raw flesh) in Girl Z: My Life as a Teenage Zombie, which introduced me to the unusual world of C. A. Verstraete.

Once again another year has ended, and we take a look back at the many books reviewed in KRL. Each of our main reviewers share in this post their top 5 favorite books they reviewed in 2016. Usually I include myself in this list, but to my surprise I found that I have reviewed very few books this year.

Lizzie Borden took an axe,
And gave her mother forty whacks,
When she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one.
What if Lizzie did kill her father and stepmother…but it was self-defense…because they attacked her…because they were ZOMBIES?

What’s a pretty Latina supposed to do when her skin turns gray and breaks open in gooey sores that don’t heal (I mean, she’s had breakouts before, but this is FIERCE!)? She can’t eat her favorite foods, and she has a wandering eye (Like, of course, she likes guys, but—REALLY—one eye keeps going off in other directions!)
