It’s Blossom Trail Time!

It is Blossom Trail time once again-a time filled with events that center around the beautiful blossoms that cover our fruit trees in this area. We sat down to chat with Tammy Wolfe, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Sanger District Chamber of Commerce, about one of those events, the Blossom Trail Bus Tour put on by the Sanger Chamber of Commerce.

Spring has nearly sprung and with the coming of spring comes the panoramic beauty known throughout the region and beyond as The Fresno County Blossom Trail. Originally created twenty-nine years ago to celebrate the splendor of the sights and scents of the showy blossoms of the Valley’s almond, plum, nectarine, peach, apricot, apple, and citrus blooms; these trees provide nature’s beauty at its finest. Add to that, the magnificence of the snow-capped Sierras for the backdrop, and you will have a sensory experience of beauty unlike any other.

The morning air was cool and welcomed by the 1,184 athletes gathering for the 14th Annual Blossom Trail Run. The day started with the first wave of runners dashing through the streets of downtown Sanger where they passed a multitude of vendors erecting canopies and starting fires in their grills, preparing for the crowds that were already arriving.
