Newly arrived reporter, Samantha Slater, arrives to begin her new job as a reporter only to find that her boss, George Stanley has been stomped to death by a runaway horse. Samantha takes over the job as editor. Her first story is writing Stanley’s obituary. To do that, she must interview the townspeople. In so doing, she learns that George Stanley wasn’t exactly loved by the citizens of the small town. He seemed to delight in writing hurtful stories about the locals. The more she finds about the dead man, she begins to realize that many were relieved by his death.
