The Lego Movie: Movie Review

by Roy Runnels

When I first saw the trailer for The Lego Movie, all I saw was a cheap cash grab to sell more Lego sets. The idea of a movie about Lego’s just didn’t really work to me. As time went on and more info (and trailers) started coming out, the better and better the idea became. All of the sudden we had an all star cast and trailers that were really funny. It may not be a cash grab, but I guarantee that this movie will sell Lego sets.

by Chris Lovato

With the rising popularity of Adventure Time, cartoons have become mainstream among the people they were popular with 20-something years ago. Since those people are “all grown up,” it’s become necessary to cater them toward adults and that is exactly what Pendleton Ward, the creator of Adventure Time seeks to do with his newest and quite popular, series: The Bravest Warriors.

Nut Job is about the animals in a park struggling to store enough food for the winter, and one Squirrel in particular, named Surly, who is known as a troublemaker who only looks out for himself and his rat friend, Buddy. Chozen: TV Review

by Chris Lovato

When you hear the words “white” and “rapper” together, you probably think of Eminem, but the producers of Archer are looking to change all that with their new series, Chozen. When I first read FX’s official description, they said Chozen’s “music and lyrics take aim at the stereotypes of machismo misogyny that [are] synonymous with rap music,” so naturally, it piqued my interest.

I always look forward to the Christmas movies that come out every year in the Theater and to my surprise this year we got to enjoy a Thanksgiving movie called Free Birds. It is an animated story about Turkeys and how they don't want to be the main course for the holiday anymore.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2: Movie Review

by Jessica Runnels

I was very very excited for this movie to come out. I was more excited than I have been for an animated movie in a long time. I loved the first movie and I couldn’t wait for them to make another one. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t be as great as the first, because the sequels never are. But this did not disappoint.
