Originally created twenty-nine years ago to celebrate the splendor of the sights and scents of the showy blossoms of the Valley’s almond, plum, nectarine, peach, apricot, apple, and citrus blooms; these trees provide nature’s beauty at its finest. Add to that, the magnificence of the snow-capped Sierras for the backdrop, and you will have a sensory experience of beauty unlike any other.

“Miss Winkles”…A distinctive name, for sure! Named in recognition of David McDonald’s adorable yet mischievous West Highland Terrier, Miss Winkles. She and her brother Rocky were ever-faithful companions to David. Though Rocky is still an ever-present friend, David made the generous decision to celebrate Miss Winkles’ short life by supporting the amazing, state-of-the-art, Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center.

For a moment in time, step into the often invisible world of those living with hearing differences. ‘Invisible’ because you cannot immediately see that someone is Deaf until you interact and/or communicate with that person. Think about it for a moment. How many times have you passed a Deaf person on the street and not realized that he or she has a difference in hearing? In the linguistic and cultural minority of those who are Deaf, personal communication is key.

The gold medal for all-around wonderful kitty could easily go to darling Chicken Little! This cutiepie never misses an opportunity to hoot it up with her friends, explore any nook or cranny, and make it her mission to check out whatever happens to be going on. Chicken Little came along way after suffering a toe injury calling for immediate amputation. She's all better now and you can't even notice she's missing a rear toe. What an adorable combination she is of fun-loving spirit and sweet, deep affection, a girl who will easily capture hearts in a forever family that cherishes her.
