How Your Compassion Helps Give Animals Like Flor a Fresh Start

On any given day, countless animals are left to fend for themselves on the streets, struggling to survive without food, shelter, or a gentle hand to guide them. Many never make it to safety. But thanks to supporters like you, some do. Flor is one of the lucky ones.

Flor, a sweet 5-year-old Chihuahua mix, was found wandering alone before being surrendered into our care. Although her past is uncertain, her spirit has remained warm and hopeful. Despite everything she has endured, Flor is still trusting, affectionate, and friendly with other dogs. She greets life with soft eyes and a quiet resilience that reminds us just how strong these small souls can be.

Because of your support, Flor has received the comfort, medical care, and kindness she desperately needed. Now she is ready for the next chapter of her journey. At just five years old, Flor deserves to spend the best years of her life in a loving home, not a shelter kennel. And this holiday season, she deserves something every adoptable animal hopes for: a warm home where they are truly loved.

There has never been a better time to bring home a new companion. Until the end of the year, all adoption fees are donation based, making it the perfect moment to open your home to a pet in need.

Our Dog Adoption Center is closed Monday and Tuesday. We are open Wednesday through Friday by appointment and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Scheduling a visit is easy. Simply fill out an adoption application on our website. You do not need to have a specific animal in mind. Once submitted, email us at dogs@valleyanimal.org and our staff will help arrange a time that fits your schedule.

If adoption is not an option right now, you can still make a meaningful impact. Donations help provide food, medical treatment, and daily care for pets like Flor, as well as many others who come to us in need of healing and hope. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue giving animals the second chance they deserve.
