Back in 2004, when Valley Animal Center (VAC) was known as the California Feline Foundation, a Siamese kitten named Chloe thought she found her forever home. But in 2018, the family that had adopted Chloe, surrendered her to the CCSPCA because she was “too old” for them. Last month, Valley Animal Center rescued Chloe from the CCSPCA. She is now waiting for her true forever home at VAC.
Chloe
Chloe is a 14-year-old Siamese cat who is currently spending her time in our senior cat room. She has quickly gained the love of the staff because she is so affectionate. As soon as you walk into the room, she’ll be there to greet you. Chloe loves people of all ages as long as they give her cuddles. Although she tolerates cats, Chloe would do better in a home without any other pets.
Despite her age, Chloe is in perfect health. She loves napping and will get very talkative when she wants to be fed. An interesting trait that Chloe possess, is that she only likes dry food.
The Siamese cat is one of the oldest and most identifiable cat breeds in the world. They are famous for being vocal, and demanding the full attention of their owners. Siamese cats need to be shown love, patience, and care. This is all true for Chloe; she will follow you around and chat with you until you pet her.
Like all of our adoptable animals, Chloe has already been spayed, de-wormed, is up-to-date on her vaccinations, and is micro-chipped. For the month of December we are offering a give and receive promotion. You have the choice to adopt any cat or dog of any age for $50 or donate 20 items for a cat and 25 items for a dog from our designated wish list. The donated items that count towards an adoption fee being waived are, among other things: antibacterial dish soap, HE laundry detergent, bleach, or a 12-pack of canned cat food. Our cat and dog adoption centers are open seven days a week from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
Please consider supporting Valley Animal Center by attending our Kitty Christmas and Merry Mutts Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at our shelter from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The goal of this event is to welcome the community to see our facility, and to treat our guests to delicious appetizers and adult beverages in order to raise funds for the homeless animals in our care. I guess mum and dad will be TOO OLD one day and dropped off at the retirement home in the same way. How callous when they have such a lovely and affectionate girl as part of their family. Shame on them.
