WEEKEND RECAP
This past weekend the Monsters played the Jamestown Ironmen here in Fresno. The Monsters lost Friday night by a score of 4-3. “It was a close game from the start with the teams trading goals all night,” shared Mark Haupt, Media Relations Director for the Fresno Monsters. Drew Aspinwall led Fresno with 2 assists and was named the games 2nd star and Matt Salituro got his first point as a Monster with an assist in the 1st period and was named the games 3rd star.
On Saturday night the Monsters had the biggest crowd of the year as 4,839 fans watched the Monsters lose 4-0. Goaltender Mac Haight made 21 saves in the loss and Corey Sikich was called up from the Monsters Western States Hockey League team and played very well in his debut.
NEXT GAME:
The Monsters will host the Johnstown Tomahawks this Friday and Saturday at Selland Arena. Game time is 7:35 p.m. both nights. Friday night is the Monsters annual Teddy Bear toss and on both nights 1 lucky fan will have an opportunity to win cash just for coming to the game as part of the Monsters Sweepstakes. Last Friday one fan walked away with $273 and Saturday one fan walked out with $331. It pays to watch the Monsters!!
