If you are looking for some Christmas theatre fun this holiday season, one of the many offerings in the area is A Good Company Christmas, currently on stage at Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre in the Tower District of Fresno.

A Good Company Christmas is comprised of original viewpoints and stories, and original versions of traditional stories,” said director Dan Pessano.

Members of the Good Company Players staff suggested ideas for stories, songs, and dance numbers which were compiled to create what is now onstage as A Good Company Christmas, stated Brandi Martin, publications coordinator for GCP. “Cast members also contributed their own favorite Christmas memories, many of which were selected to be featured in the final product. This show is as original and unique as its creators and performers, and can only be seen at Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre.”

The cast of 22 includes GCP veterans such as Lance Capser, Janet Glaudé, Gordon Moore, and Laurie Pessano, as well as Junior Company standouts Daniel Barco, Elise Barco, Alexa DePasquale, and Chelsea Newton.

“The show is unique for its cast of young and veteran performers,” stated Dan. “Funny, touching, a very personal view of the Holiday season.”

A Good Company Christmas runs an hour and 45 minutes and is filled with time-honored family favorites such as “Silent Night,” and “The Gift of the Magi” combined with new, very non-traditional songs, stories and poems like “Deck the Yard,” “The 12 Days of Tower Christmas,” and “Waltz of the Flowers: Tutus and Taps.” You may even get to cheer on the Vaudeville team of Scrooge and Marley!
