The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air as soon as the door to this friendly, family owned neighborhood coffee shop opens. Welcome to northeast Fresno’s hidden gem…Yellow Mug Coffee.
Why yellow? For happiness, of course! Happy, friendly, relaxing, different, and delicious all describe the customer experience at Yellow Mug Coffee. Featuring an array of their own custom blended coffee, customers will find espresso, teas, Italian sodas, and an impressive array of regular and sugar free flavored syrups to suit everyone’s taste. Add to that, the delicious sandwiches, bagels, quiche, pastries, scones, cinnamon rolls, and custom macaroons; there’s something wonderful and delicious for all.
Having recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, Yellow Mug Coffee has enjoyed immense popularity from the moment they opened.
Jamie Tarlton, manager at Yellow Mug Coffee has enthusiasm that can only be described as contagious the moment she begins speaking about Yellow Mug. Jamie shared, “I’m so excited to come to work every day! So many of our customers have become like family and friends to us. We care about them and have gotten to know so many of them. Our customers are what makes Yellow Mug so special.” She continued, “It’s awesome to see the connections that are made at the coffee shop. Our customers can relax, study, and enjoy new and old friendships in the comfort of our shop.” With a selection of books and board games, including the always-popular chess, Yellow Mug offers a welcoming atmosphere to all and has earned a reputation for being a fun venue for local authors and entertainers to come and be a part of the community.
Last year, Yellow Mug was selected to be a location for Luke’s Diner, one of the most popular features of the long-running show The Gilmore Girls. A line of eager customers trailed around the entire shopping center waiting for the opportunity to enjoy all that “Luke’s/Yellow Mug” had to offer. One of only a handful of shops selected in California to be a Luke’s location by Netflix, Yellow Mug quickly gained a popular base of loyal fans. Based in large part on the huge turnout from that event, Scott Patterson, who played Luke on the Gilmore Girls, chose Yellow Mug to perform two acoustic shows this past July; both a resounding success.
Customers can look to Yellow Mug for their unique holiday treats with custom made hot and cold drinks and entertainment to match. December will bring the return of local teen ukulele players and singers Ben and Allie to entertain as the holiday season begins. The Grinch, featuring white hot chocolate, and the Jack-O Latte, boasting pumpkin pie, vanilla, and toasted marshmallow whipped cream, are sure to be a highlight of the holiday season as well.Yellow Mug
