It’s hard to imagine how anyone could mistreat a four-legged friend. They are such loving and loyal companions. Yet, all too often we hear of Pitbulls who are abused, neglected, and abandoned. Some of the lucky ones find their way to rescues where they are given a second chance at a happy ending and can be adopted into good, loving homes.

Darius

These stories are just the best. Not only will he have happy ending, but Darius’s story is a real, heartwarming testament to the goodness of people out there who are willing to give a Pitbull a new chance at life. Darius has overcome obstacles with his past neglect and trauma. He’s ready to love and prove his loyalty tenfold.

His story with us began when our trainer (Stephanie) was originally contacted through a tag on Facebook. A woman had found Darius on her property deep in the countryside. She was afraid he would die without getting help; he was freezing, starving, and beaten up. When Stephanie arrived, Darius came right up to her, let himself be picked up, and put in the car. He knew his angel had arrived. Thankfully, although beaten and starved he’s never had any medical issues; he just needed some time to rest and heal.

Darius is approximately seven, so he’s the perfect age to be your couch potato or you’re walking partner. He loves everyone from babies to the elderly; he wants nothing more than to be part of the family. Again, he has a medium to low energy and loves car rides. He’s truly low maintenance, is house trained, and amazing on leash. If you think you might be the right human for Darius, please feel free to visit our website. Please keep in mind, the one thing you’ll have to do is share a spoonful of ice cream with Darius before bedtime.
