Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno will be sharing with us every other month about their rescue dogs.

Looking for a best friend? Then look no further because Ozzy is ready to be just that and more.

This handsome, nine-month-old, fifty-seven pounds of pure joy was once walking the streets alone, until thankfully, he was safely picked up by animal services. That’s where Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno came into the picture.

Ozzy

Ozzy was placed in a LRRF foster home where he could be given all that he needed. From checkups at the vet to ensure that he has all of his vaccinations to being neutered and microchipped, this big boy has been well cared for. Once he settled in with his foster family, he began to learn a lot about family life and his world changed. His personality began to shine and what a dream he has been.

Ozzy loves people, sleeps indoors, and loves to be pet. He is incredibly smart and has learned commands, boundaries, and routines. He has been quick to learn that dog treats are great rewards!! It wasn’t known if Ozzy liked cats in his past, but the introduction to his feline foster sister has gone well. His canine foster siblings welcomed him into the pack and Ozzy is elated to be part of it.

While in foster care, Ozzy has been crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. He enjoys chew bones and playing tug of war with his rope toy. Ozzy’s temperament is mellow for a puppy, but he will still need activity and exercise as he grows. An active family with another dog would be ideal for him. He truly has so much love to give!!

If you are ready to be Ozzy’s best friend and fur-ever family, please visit the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno website at labrescuefresno.org to submit an adoption application. All applications are reviewed to determine the perfect home and the best life for all dogs available through LRRF.

LRRF is a 501(c)3 non-profit, 100% foster-based organization. We rescue abandoned, homeless, and neglected Labradors from all over central California and beyond. We wish to end suffering and promote the welfare of labs and lab mixes through direct action and education. We provide each dog with a stable environment, love, companionship, food, and veterinary care until a qualified, loving forever home is found. LRRF believes that all companion animals should be treated with dignity, compassion, and kindness. Ozzy is just one of the many lives saved by LRRF. This is only possible by the time, talent, and donations provided by volunteers and generous donors.
