Details at the end of this post on how to enter to win either a print or kindle copy of Finding Answers, and a link to purchase it from Amazon.

Off to Rescue, Alaska!

bookKathi Daley introduced her eighth series A Rescue Alaska Mystery in November 2017 with Finding Justice and was met with rave reviews garnering an average of 4.3/5 stars. Harmony Carson, a delightful young woman, works with a search and rescue team comprised of eight full-time members each with a particular set of skills and talents. For Harmony her skills are very unique, a talent Kathi Daley has in creating. Harmony can “sense” the person she is destined to rescue: she sees them, recognizes their pain and fear, and for those she is unsuccessful to reach in time, she senses their death. It is a valuable tool when working with the search and rescue team, but it can be unreliable and has resulted in some disappointing outcomes. This skill first appeared when she was seventeen. Under great stress she suddenly sensed the danger, pain, and sadly, the death of her sister/guardian. This has put her on a path that could be rewarding, by also put her in harms’ way. Exciting!

Finding Answers earns 5/5 Deep, Dark Disasters…Delightful!

Four-year-old Vinnie Truman has been reported missing, and the search and rescue team has been activated along with rescue dogs Sitka and Yukon. Harmony finally senses the boy’s curiosity turning to fear, so time is of the essence. But while searching for the young boy, Harmony senses a darkness, a danger, and someone dying. She knew someone was near struggling to survive, but ultimately passed. Using Yukon’s skills, they discover the hidden body of a prominent member of the community…dead, evidence of being bound, mouth taped, and throat slit. Murder! But, it’s Denali’s uneasiness, a sense someone is watching, and disturbing nightmares that really send Harmony reeling. Something is out there…mystery book cover

Wow! Another edge of your seat, Wow! Kathi Daley has penned a great, close to intense, mystery. I cringed when Harmony took her fur-family out for their nightly constitutional…nooo, watch out! Her signature steady-pace and clever storyline also brings in many interactions with her fur-friend characters often making them, like in the Rescue Alaska Mystery series, a key member or a hero. Kathi also writes in a realistic manner…no one investigates a murder 24/7, not even the police. She shows her characters with a life, like Harmony also waitressing at her step-uncle’s bar and working to make her new animal shelter a success. Ok, do you know how cute a baby moose is? New in its inception newbies can easily jump in and follow the adventure. Revisiting background and character connections are woven in the narrative, but no spoilers, so it’ll be easy to go back and read the first book. I highly recommend this series…no matter where you start you’ll be a fan, too!
