Details at the end of this post on how to enter to win a copy of On the Hook, and a link to purchase it from Amazon, and an indie bookstore where a portion of the sale goes to help support KRL.
Molly Pink lives an exciting life or at least an action filled one. Molly’s the manager and in charge of special events at the bookstore. Another employee, Adele, is a hit with kids and parents. With co-workers, she’s a challenge. Adele is short on social skills and tact. She’s self-centered. And considers Molly her BFF.
Adele and her new hubby, Eric, share their condo with Eric’s mom. Adele thinks if they had a bigger space, things would work out better. Elise, one of the Tarzana Hookers, (a crochet group!) just got her realtor’s license but hasn’t told her husband, another realtor, about that.
To show her husband she can sell homes, too, Elise agrees to show a house to Adele. Neither will tell their husbands. What could go wrong? Of course, Adele insists Molly go along. They hardly get to see the house when Elise gets a text from her husband to say he’s going to show the house. She hustles everyone out.
It’s a shock for him to show his clients around and then discover the homeowner’s body downstairs—just where Elise was although she managed not to see the dead guy sitting on the couch. Now Elise and Adele both want to cover up their presence so their husbands stay in the dark—and who better to make that happen than Molly?
This is book twelve in the series. Molly has more patience than Job, especially when dealing with Adele. It would be tempting to slip tranquilizers in Adele’s drink. The bookstore is a place you’d love to visit—to sit and crochet, to read bits of books, have a Bobaccino (Bob’s new drink in the café) and relax. How Molly stays sane and out of jail is as much a mystery as the murder itself. Readers will look forward to Molly’s next adventure as romance is in the air.
Find a pattern for the scarf Molly left at the scene of the crime (be sure to be careful where you leave yours) along with CeeCee’s Baby Blanket, and the recipe for her mom’s mystery cake at the back of the book.
