Details about 2 big theatre giveaways and how to enter at the end of this post.

It’s hard to believe but Kings River Life will be celebrating its 15th birthday on May 29, 2025! When my friend Dorian Rhodes and I came up with the idea all those years ago it was really just a whim. Something fun to see if we could do while I was looking for a new job. We never would have guessed it would not only still be around 15 years later, but that it would grow into what it is now and still be going strong!

A few years into this journey, Dorian had to step away due to health reasons, but it never would have gotten off the ground without her. It also never would have kept going all these years without all of the many volunteers who have “walked” through our virtual office doors during these 15 years–writers, reviewers, editors, web designers, and then all of you wonderful readers who give us a reason to keep doing this. We also owe much to all of our advertisers, those who have donated, and our Patreon supporters, because even though all of the staff is volunteer, there are still bills to be paid.

Our mission statement since the beginning still remains mostly the same-Our mission is to entertain, inspire, and inform a global community with a unique variety of articles that provide something of interest for everyone, while supporting the arts, literature, charities, mental health, small local businesses, and animal rescue. I would add that we also feel strongly about supporting the LGBTQ+ community in any way that we can–especially during these troubling times.

BIG GIVEAWAYS!

Now on to the fun part! Last week we had a big mystery novel giveaway (you can still enter until June 1) from 30 different authors. This week we have giveaways of tickets to several of the theatre companies in this area–from Fresno to Hanford!

Once again thanks to the generosity of the local theatre community we have 2 different giveaways. While you can enter both, you can only win one of them.

To enter to win theatre giveaway #1, simply email KRL at krlcontests@gmail[dot]com by replacing the [dot] with a period, and with the subject line “theatre birthday #1” or to enter to win theatre giveaway #2, put “theatre birthday #2” in the subject line. You can also enter by commenting below but be sure to state if you are entering for #1 or #2 or both.

A winner will be chosen on May 29, 2025 (our actual birthday). Local residents only, and you must be 18 or older to enter. Each winner will be given instructions on how to collect their tickets–it will be through each theatre company’s box office. You can read our privacy statement here if you like.
