Valley Animal Center is a strong, beautiful castle fit for kings and queens … and Princess Rosalinda, of course.

Princess Rosalinda (24067) was surrendered to Valley Animal Center more than two years ago on March 24, 2021. At the time, she was very pregnant but soon gave birth to a litter of six adorable kittens. As is often the case, all of her kittens found homes before she did, and today, Princess Rosalinda spends her days gazing peacefully at the California sun from her outdoor catio.

Princess Rosalinda

Princess Rosalinda has had a difficult time finding her very own furever home. Just like any other princess, she can be introverted or extroverted on any given day and depending on her choice of mood. She was a very protective mother at first and had very little patience for other cats and humans. Once her kittens were adopted and Princess Rosalinda moved on to the adoption floor, it took some time before she began to confidently rule her room.

At first, Valley Animal Center’s cat care associates decided that the best home for Princess Rosalinda would be one without any other pets or young children. It was very clear that she was not fond of being bothered by others.

“At this point,” Valley Animal Center Cat Care Specialist Anjanette Mendoza said, “I think other cats in the home would be OK just as long as they are given a proper introduction. Older kids who will understand how to read her body language and respect her boundaries would be OK, too.”

Because she’s considered a long-term cat, Valley Animal Center has reduced Princess Rosalinda’s adoption fee to $50 to help increase her chances of adoption. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has a microchip ID. Many individuals have expressed interest in Princess Rosalinda. However, it seems she has yet to find her knight in shining armor.

If you’re looking for a cat who can catch a fly with little to no effort, and you don’t mind being admired at dinner time, we believe Princess Rosalinda might be the one for you. Of course, you must be prepared to go above and beyond when welcoming her into your castle. There will be no need for twenty mattresses. Patience, one comfy bed, a window to peer through, and a lot of love is all this beauty needs. Oh, and snacks. Don’t forget the snacks.

Valley Animal Center’s dog and cat adoption centers are open Wednesday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To meet Princess Rosalinda, visit her at 3934 N. Hayston Ave. in Fresno. If you can’t adopt but would love to sponsor her care for as little as $10 a month, click HERE: valleyanimal.org/sponsor.
