WEEKEND RECAP
Vs. Wenatchee Wild – Selland Arena – Fresno, CA

FRIDAY, 1/21/2011: The Monsters defeated the Wenatchee Wild for the first time this season, winning 4-3 in regulation.
The Monsters were 3 for 4 on the power play for the evening.
SATURDAY, 1/22/2011: The Fresno Monsters had a great turnout for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life night with 3,539 fans in the building. On the ice, the game went Wenatchee’s way with the final score of 4-0 Wild over the Monsters.

WSHL Monsters News: The WSHL Fresno Monsters swept the Long Beach Bombers last weekend in a three-game home stand and completed the six-game season sweep of the Bombers. Fresno remains in 2nd place with a record of 26-6-2 for 54 points, 5 points behind the 1st place Idaho Jr. Steelheads.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
T.J. POWERS: Powers had an impressive game on Friday night against the Wenatchee Wild, tallying 2 goals including a power play goal and 1 assist for 3 points. For his contribution he earned 1st star of the game honors.

WALKER HYLAND

WALKER HYLAND: Hyland had a three-point game Friday night against the Wenatchee Wild, notching the game-winning goal on the power play in addition to two assists. He was named the 2nd star of the game.

THOMAS FREEMAN


THOMAS FREEMAN: Freeman’s hard work paid off in Friday night’s contest against the Wenatchee Wild. He scored the second goal of the game on the power play.
