Details at the end of this post on how to enter to win a copy of Sanctuary, and a link to purchase the book.

Sanctuary started out as a short story and built its way into the third book in the Macy McVannel series. It does two things, one it introduces us to Dani Montgomery and it gives us a chance to see Macy through the eyes of others. Dani and Macy had been college roommates.

Dani has the idea to make an old slave hiding place from the Underground Railroad into a safe haven or sanctuary for abused women trying to escape their abusers. As a lawyer she is trying to make sure she works within the bounds of the law. Current laws on this type of undertaking are sketchy at best. book

The idea for abused women is a personal one. I have a family member who has lived in an abusive relationship. I was also in an abusive relationship. While the abuse I suffered was emotional and verbal, it was abuse. I left the relationship when I could see it was going to become physical.

There are thousands of women abused each day. Someone has to help stem this tide of abuse. Enter my two main characters, hoping to do just that. Are they successful? You will have to read the book.

This book leads itself to several off-shoots. The first being Of Moonbeams and Fairies, Collected Tales which was mentioned in the book and released on November 28, 2014. Escape is an e-book which will be released by January, 2015. I see two other books coming out of Sanctuary, at the moment they have no titles or anticipated release dates.
