Ever since she designed a lemonade stand slogan as a ten-year-old, Tobi Tobias’s dream has been to work in advertising. The past six months since finally opening the Tobias Ad Agency have been bleak though, and if Tobi doesn’t land a client soon, she’s going to be out of business. It seems within her grasp when Tobi creates the perfect marketing campaign for the Zander Closet Company, owned by the almost-as-perfect Andrew Zander and his overly charming brother Gary.

Although a drastic hike in rent forced Winnie Johnson to give up her beloved bakery, an unexpected inheritance allowed her to create the Emergency Dessert Squad, where on-demand customized delicacies are delivered by a vintage ambulance. Less welcome is the gift that came in the form of hissing feline Lovey, who seems to love everyone except Winnie. Otherwise, prospects for the business look to be on an upswing; at least right until the recipient of one of the Emergency Dessert Squad’s latest deliveries is found poisoned to death by pastry.

We’re all a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, and lucky that I am to announce two new series for your reading pleasure!
It’s Purr M for Murder in T.C. LoTempio’s latest. You may know the author from her Nick and Nora cat mysteries, but this is a cat rescue series. Sydney McCall, a nice Irish name, left New York City, an ex-fiancé, and an advertising job to return home to Deer Park, NC, and help her sister run an animal shelter, Friendly Paws.

Bakery owner Winnie Johnson counted on an inheritance from an elderly customer to save her bakery from a huge rent raise. She’s stunned to find out, she didn’t inherit cash but an antique ambulance and a cat who doesn’t like her.

Claire Weatherly owns a shop that sells Amish wares in Heavenly, Pennsylvania. She lives with her Aunt Diane, who runs the local B&B. Working closely with the Amish gives Claire an insight that many ‘English,’ non-Amish, do not have. When her assistant, Annie, reveals an Amish man was found dead in his barn, she says it was God’s will. Considering there’s a shovel next to the body, it seems it was someone else’s will as well.

In Heavenly, Pennsylvania, the Amish live in peace and harmony, or at least that’s the goal. Strife and problems can arise anywhere though. Claire Weatherly is English and not Amish. She owns Heavenly Treasures, a store that sells crafts made by the Amish. Unfortunately, the items that sell and are fastest to make are all small which means her sales totals are small too. She’s in danger of losing the store and is sick at heart about it. She hasn’t even told her Aunt Diane yet, owner of the local B&B for those seeking the Amish experience.
