New Library Brings Greater Access to Residents

Books are the magic that can effortlessly transport us to places near, far and in between.
Step through the doors of the newest branch of the Fresno County Public Library, and you’ll be greeted by the cool air, accented with the sites and sensations that only books can bring. Books can transport you to places where you can live, dream and discover the wonder within the words. Located in northwest Fresno at Teague Elementary School, this recently opened branch of the Fresno County Public Library provides a world of fun, fiction, information, and technology, all at your fingertips.

Summertime Fun in the Valley

Bless Me Ultima: On Stage For Big Read

The Fresno County Public Library has won six straight grants from the National Endowment for the Arts to be part of “The Big Read,” choosing one novel for a month or more and presenting programs related to it. Past choices by the FCPL were To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Joy Luck Club, Fahrenheit 451, and Call of the Wild. This year, the book is Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya.
