Newly engaged, the only thing Galveston’s Tara Holloway loves more than her fiancé—fellow IRS criminal investigator Nick Prat—is tracking down tax cheaters and bringing them to justice. Wielding both a briefcase and a sidearm, Tara is a crack shot with more than her own share of broken bones, head injuries, and bullet wounds. Welcome to Yeast of Eden, the Mexican bread shop in Santa Sofia, California, and the first in the series by Winnie Archer. Struggling photographer Ivy Culpepper has lots of soul-searching when she came back to town. When she enters a bread making class, it’s the aroma of fresh conchas in the oven, or her instant connection with the owner and her sisters, but Ivy knows she’s found the missing ingredients in her life.
