Homestand Preview: April 3-9
Opening Night, Bark in the Park highlight first homestand of 2014

The wait is over…baseball is back, and so are the Rawhide! Tulare County’s only professional sports team begins its 2014 season on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:00 against the Stockton Ports (affiliates of the Oakland Athletics)! Opening Night is presented by Sequoia Beverage, and promises to be jam-packed as always, so get your tickets now!

The opener is just the beginning of a full week of baseball at Rawhide Ballpark; Friday, April 4th will be a Fun-Filled Friday and Visalia Youth Softball Night, with first pitch at 7:00.

The Rawhide and Ports will continue the series on Saturday, April 5th at 7:00. It will be the first All-American Saturday of the season, where retired and active military can purchase a half-priced ticket with their military ID. Also, everyone will receive half-off their beer or soda with the purchase a Rawhide souvenir Boot Mug! The Hot Corner Grill will be firing up delicious barbequed meats from Glick’s Meat Market! The Rawhide will wear patriotic American Flag jerseys each Saturday. Finally, a military group will be recognized before the game by Chase Bank!

Sunday, April 6th will be a Family Fun Sunday with a 1:00 start, sponsored by Carl’s Jr. and Stauffer’s. It will also be a Bark in the Park day, as friendly canines are welcome on the grass Pasture with a $3 Pooch Pass. The day will serve as a fundraiser for Tulare County Animal Control. There’ll be free animal face-painting for kids, and all Kids Club members will be able to run the bases after the game!

On Monday, April 7th, the Rawhide begin a 3-game series with the Modesto Nuts (Colorado Rockies) at 1:00, and continue the tradition of Make a Difference Mondays. Bring $5 worth of school supplies to donate at the ticket window, and receive a free ticket to the game! Immediately following the game, Redwood High School will battle Mt. Whitney in a baseball-edition of the Cowhide Game!

Tuesday, April 8th will be a 6:00 start, and will mark the return of 2 for Tuesdays presented by Chevron-Texaco! Pick up a 2-for-1 voucher at local participating Chevron-Texaco stations and redeem it at the ticket window. Or, help celebrate Visalia’s 250th Major League alumnus with $2.50 tickets for anyone who’s Liked the Rawhide on Facebook! We’ll also have $2.50 concession stand specials, $2.50 retro Visalia team card sets, and great discounts on retro Visalia team shirts in the General Store!

The opening homestand concludes on Wednesday, April 9th with Weenie Wednesday and a 1:00 first pitch. Get $1 hot dogs while supplies last! This tasty afternoon will also be Choices After-School day, with kids and leaders from Choices enjoying the game and celebrating their wonderful program’s great work in the community.
