Gosh, where to begin! In all honesty, when I was reading this book, I felt like I was right there, standing as if I were a ghost; it all felt so real. The personalities of the characters, the friendships built and the risks that were taken, all in a matter of secrecy and trust. As with all books, The Help starts with some background information to bring you up to date with the current circumstances.

But even a Champion needs a break every now and then, so Jesse takes his annual camping trip to Colorado for some male bonding time over games of paintball. Sadly, the fun and war games are disrupted by a pack of creatures gathered up from the very pits of hell by an entity Jesse prayed he would never see again. With the lives of his friends and a teenager’s soul on the line, Jesse’s only hope may lay with an even more dangerous enemy-his personal demon, Axel.

Armen Majarian is the current owner of Dinuba Lanes bowling alley in Dinuba. He has been the owner since 2004 and in the years since he has provided the community with great bowling entertainment. As an employee myself of Dinuba Lanes, I have seen the immense amount of fun people have when they visit the bowling alley. To watch the families bowl and compete against one another is what keeps the bowling alley alive and well. It is a great and fun way to enjoy time with friends and family, especially on rainy days when other activities may be limited.

A novel is just too simple of a word to describe this story of Jacob Jankowski, a veterinary student at Cornell, and his compelling journey through life and love and the struggle to find himself in the world. He starts out with the perfect life: supportive parents, college education, he had everything going for him. But it all came to a sudden halt when his parents are killed in a car crash and he finds he has no money and no home, which leads to him throwing away his vet career by turning in his final examinations blank.

Joyce Funda a junior at RHS and the smartest person I know. She said in our interview that if she could change her past she would have joined more clubs and sports earlier in high school. I laughed because I think she is involved with enough already! But that is Joyce for you, she never gives up, she is constantly involved and nothing is too big or too hard for her. She is an academic inspiration and I can’t wait to see what she does later in life.
