If one of your family members were forced to fight for his or her life, yet you had the opportunity to step in for them, would you? Honestly, I get the feeling that not many people would. Yeah, many people say, “Of course I would! It’s family!” but when it comes down to it, and they’re actually put into this situation, would they do it? In The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, families are put to the test. It shows that sometimes, no matter how much you love someone, you don’t necessarily know how you will react.

Ever wanted to start your own business? Ever wonder if you could? Well, six years ago young entrepreneur Sandy Gonzalez from Dinuba, California, made her dream come true when she started her own clothing line, Abuel in the Golden Age. Sandy is 20 years old, and now attends FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in Los Angeles, California.

As I sat to enjoy this year’s Reedley High School graduation, it was different for me this time. I wasn’t watching just as a journalist or a drama mom who knew these kids through RHS shows, I was watching as a mom. My daughter, Jessica, graduated this year and it was quite the different feeling.

This year, being a Drama kid and Drama club President, I was so excited when they announced the theme was “Old Hollywood”. Soon it went around campus that all the chaperones were going to be dressed up as “Old Hollywood” actors and actresses. I knew that Prom would be a night to remember. My friends and I planned the whole night, getting ready, dinner, and who was going to drive. We were so excited.

“Don’t discriminate against people with disabilities, because everyone has one,” is the motto for the KTB/SOS (Knock The Barriers/Special Olympic Supporters) club at Reedley High School.
This club shows the importance of equality among the students of RHS, and the disabled.

Criminal Minds is a widely popular show about five FBI profilers. Set in Quantico, Virginia, the show is created by Jeff Davis. Unlike many other crime procedural shows, Criminal Minds focuses on the behavior of a serial killer, rather than the evidence.
