Jacob Alvarado

If you want to see a movie with murder, mystery, and an extremely smart Goth girl, than this movie is right for you. This movie is the first of the Swedish trilogy based on Stieg Larsson’s amazing books. Now the film is in Swedish so I hope you don’t mind subtitles. Another thing is that this movie is rated R and has a very violent rape scene, so watch with caution and this film is not recommended for young children.

If you have been watching PBS within the past three years, you have probably seen the new hit sensation from Ireland, The Celtic Woman. I like music from different countries and my favorite is an alternative duo from Russia called t.A.T.U. These two women express all their feelings and cravings through melodies. Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova form the group t.A.T.u. These two girls have been friends since they were babies, and when they became teenagers decided that a singing group would be the best way to get out of Russia.
