Details at the end of this post on how to win a copy of Shadowed Souls and links to purchase it.

Shadowed Souls in an anthology with a bit of a different twist–the “heroes” in the stories are not your typical heroes and nothing is as simple as black and white.

The list of writers in this anthology is a fantasy lovers delight! Two of them are some of my favorite writers–Jim Butcher and Kat Richardson. I have also discovered some writers I had never tried before and now can’t wait to check out what else they have written. But even the authors whose work I had not previously read, were familiar names: Seanan McGurie, Kevin J. Anderson, Jim C. Hines, Rob Thurman, Tanya Huff, Anton Strout, Lucy A. Snyder, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, and Erik Scott de Bie. book

My favorite stories include Jim Butcher’s story “Cold Case,” which features Dresden’s apprentice Molly who is now the Winter Lady. She finds herself in a very difficult position having to collect an awful tribute from a Fae colony. Kat Richardson’s story “Peacock in Hell” has her main character Peacock rescuing someone from hell–and it is a less than pleasant journey. Kevin J. Anderson is a very familiar name, but this was the first time I had ever read anything of his—but it will not be the last. His story “Eye of Newt” features a Zombi P.I. named Dan Shamble; it was hilarious!

This is a fun collection of stories featuring a very interesting bunch of characters! It is a great way to introduce yourself to some new authors, and enjoy something a bit different from some favorites. How can you possibly go wrong with writers like these? Don’t miss out on “Shadowed Souls.” It would make a perfect Christmas gift for the fantasy lover on your list!
