It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and by that I mean it’s slightly cooler than normal and they’re playing Christmas remixes on the radio all the time. I’ve always wanted a white holiday season. Looks like that wish will never come true…

I’ve also been constantly watching my favorite Christmas movies over and over and over….and over. They include Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (both live action and cartoon), Home Alone 2 (one sequel that was better than the original), and of course A Christmas Story. Can I be the first to say that A Christmas Story is the stupidest, weirdest movie with the most obscure plot….and I adore it!

Nothing is going on in my own personal holiday plans. Basically because every vacation my family has taken involves either being probed at the airport, forced to sleep in a roach infested hotel in Texas, or getting snowed in. It will be a sunny California Christmas for me.

Madrigals’ singing is going quite well–this week was our Christmas concert and we have been singing Christmas music all over town. If you enjoy evergreen trees and vocal music, make your way down to Hillcrest Tree Farms and listen to the madrigals perform various carols several more times yet this season. But don’t tell anyone else, because we usually flash mob!

We end our lovely first semester with Reindeer Games on December 21. It will feature some awesome performances from school groups and a student v. teacher basketball game! Formal tickets go on sale Monday in the old library! $25 each. Formal is at Reedley College and will take place on January 19. The theme is A Night in Paris!
Hope to see you all there!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

I hope all three of my readers will enjoy the holiday season and appreciate time with family and friends!
