Reedley brother and sister duo, The Autumn Lo, have just released their debut CD, a Christmas CD called Fa La La La… The duo is made up of Nick and Kara McIntyre and the Christmas music on this CD is a bit different from the typical pop or country singer Christmas recordings that abound. While most of the songs are familiar — “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” “Deck the Halls,” “Joy to the World,” “Rudolph,” “Santa Baby,” “Silver Bells,” and other traditional favorites — their style is unique, as the accompaniment is Nick on a ukulele and Kara on bells. Having sung together since they were kids singing in the backseat of the family car, this is an exciting step for the siblings.

Kara & Nick McIntyre

This CD has a Hawaiian Christmas music feel to it, making one picture sunny beaches for Christmas instead of cold, icy weather, which this time of year is kind of nice. Nick’s and Kara’s voices are sweet and folksy.

I look forward to seeing what this young duo from Reedley has up their sleeve for the future. They are singing music from their CD around the Valley this holiday season. You can find their schedule on their Facebook page.
