Locally based band Shiver Fox, is so much more than just a local band. These four guys have really put their entire heart and soul into what they have accomplished so far and what they hope to accomplish in the future. Together Trey Tosh, Kyle Baker, Jeremy Luvas, and Noah Babcock have really set out to write music that may not go with the flow of the mainstream, but stays true to the wild nature of true rock ‘n’ roll.

Having come from previous musical success, the members of Shiver Fox began brainstorming for their newest endeavor during 2009. A little over two years later the band has put many once in a lifetime experiences under their belts. Newly born Shiver Fox was given the opportunity to open for none other than the icons of rock ‘n’ roll, KISS, in November of 2009. On the list of favorite experiences since the birth of Shiver Fox, the guys said that “Opening for KISS ranks pretty high up there.”

I had the pleasure of seeing this exceptional band perform at the Save Mart Center when they did open for KISS. The crowd, myself and my family really enjoyed Shiver Fox’s performance. They were the perfect local band to open up for such a legendary rock band.

Though this local band seems to have hit it big, as far as Valley bands go, they still have far to go in their eyes. Shiver Fox wants nothing more than to spend their time playing together and putting on a show for their fans, who they endearingly thank for all of their success. This group of guys is literally reaching for the stars in their music career. “We want go far, how far you ask? Space, the final frontier… however far space is, we’re going that far,” said Noah.

Shiver Fox is willing to do whatever it takes to continue on the path that they’re going, even if it means eating nothing but ramen noodles for weeks at a time. Keeping themselves afloat during times of touring was described as the hardest thing the band has faced so far. “The hardest thing is supporting ourselves knowing full well that we could be eating top ramen for prolonged periods of time, but even that’s not so bad… the beef flavored ramen is quite tasty,” Noah said, eager to put a positive and comical tone towards what was supposed to be the most difficult part of life on the music scene.

For all you Foxes out there, as the band refers to their fans, the guys plan to hit the studio this summer and have set a goal of a new record by the end of this year, possibly sooner.
