With Valentine’s Day having just passed and still be celebrated by some, I found it only fitting to give a couple of examples of why a Pitbull makes a perfect Valentine.

Don’t want to get dressed up to go out, or worried about having to prepare a romantic meal? You won’t have to worry with Lilly as your Valentine! Imagine having all the love you need waiting at home, she doesn’t care what you’re wearing, and I will guarantee that she won’t care if you can’t cook. Beautiful, white Lilly is a senior of nine years, and isn’t there a saying that love is ageless? Loving Lilly means you will be choosing a non-chewing, already-trained babysitter. Lilly is wonderful with children and babies, a true nanny dog! She’s living in a foster home at the moment, and as she’s aged she has made it known that she prefers to be the only dog in the house. So an adopter would be getting low maintenance and a diva all at once!

Need some Valentine eye candy? You will not find a better choice than Popeye! Even the cutest human can’t compete with his big, green puppy eyes and stunning smile. Let’s talk about his smile; for starters it is infectious. Having a bad day? I guarantee the minute he sees you and smiles, you won’t be able resist his infectious joy. This big ol’ teddy bear won’t care what you’ll be doing for the evening as long as he is with you. He is very sweet, affectionate, and forms strong, loving bonds with his people. Popeye loves to “talk” to you with his “ wooo-woo-woos.” Who doesn’t want a sweet talker for Valentine’s Day? He knows his basic commands and is overall a pretty mellow fellow who walks like a dream on the leash. Shelter life has been hard on Popeye and he is more than ready to find a forever home. A home that won’t tie him to a gate and abandon him, which is how he found his way to Fresno Bully Rescue. Because Popeye is BIG and strong, we feel he would benefit from a home with no other dogs or a female his size, and no small children. He might also need a little help with his house training, but he’s a quick learner so it shouldn’t be a challenge. So if you need a Valentine who will love to be with you, and thrives being close to his favorite person, well, look no further.
