Four new series are coming your way, and some of your favorite authors are back with their latest offerings. Plenty here to satisfy any cozy sweet tooth. And if you’re dieting, lots of feline mysteries as well.

She’ll get free cooking lessons at the town’s chocolate shop, The Chocolate Box, But she never entered any contest. A friend offers to look into the phony prize?only to end up drowned in a vat of chocolate. Feeling guilty, Charity travels to Camellia Beach to investigate. She finds she likes the eccentric people and making chocolate. She also finds there’s a plot to destroy the town. This is the first in the new Southern Chocolate Shop Mysteries by Dorothy St. James.

bookFor those with wheat allergies, here’s a gluten free series from Diana Orgain. Mona Reilly is prepping for the grand opening of Jammin’ Honey. Her friend supplies the shop with homemade lotions, candles, royal jelly, and such. But while the women are out taste testing gluten-free items, the shop burns down. A body is recovered from the fire, and the most handsome cop Mona’s ever seen is assigned the case. There are motives to spare, and it’s up to Mona to solve the Murder and Sticky Jam.

The catch is, she must move in immediately to prevent his sister and nephew from trying to claim the house. When the nephew arrives then disappears, he’s found dead in a trap door on the third floor of the shop, and Florrie’s boss is the suspect. Doodling clues, she begins to consider other colorful characters. Color Me Murder is the first Pen & Ink Mystery by Krista Davis.

This is the second Tess and Tilly Mystery penned by Kathi Daley.
