After the holidays, the gaming typically slows down. That is not the case in January 2019, however. There were not many games released this month, but the ones that were were highly anticipated large scale games.

video gameThe Walking Dead: The Final Season episode 3-Broken Toys was finally released on January 15. When Telltale Games disbanded fans were worried that the final season of The Walking Dead game would not finish, these worries were squashed however when Telltale announce that Skybound Entertainment would be releasing the last two episodes. The episodes came later than expected, but at least, the fans will get to see the end of Clementine’s story. The episode, unfortunately, was full of glitches that frustrated me, as well as other fans, but the story is moving along nicely and I cannot wait to see how Clementine’s story ends on March 26.

My Time at Portia, a simulation RPG, released on January 15 on PC. The playable character heads to the town of Portia to restore your pa’s workshop. The game has similar mechanics to the popular game Stardew Valley but brings its own spin to it. Critics praise the game’s easy to understand mechanics and fun and full of life characters and environments. video game

Life is Strange 2 episode 2 was released on January 24. Episode continues the story of brothers Sean and Daniel’s journey to find a new life after a horrible tragedy. Developers DontNod announced a few weeks ago that Chris, from the free to play Life is Strange 2 prequel, would appear in this episode. Critics and fans alike are continuing to love this game even more than the first. video game

video gameThe Resident Evil 2 remake was released on January 25. The demo was released on January 11. I personally watched many people play it, and it is terrifying and awesome. The graphics improvement from the original is mind-blowing. Fans especially liked the inclusion of the game mechanics and look from Resident Evil 7. The remake is everything people could have hoped for.

On January 29, the long anticipated game Kingdom Hearts 3, will be released. Everyone has been talking about this game since it was announced. The release date has been pushed back several times, but we are finally getting the game. The game will feature several Disney worlds as usual including Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Hero 6, and Monsters Inc.video game

Some of my favorite series brought new installments this month. It is only January, and it is already becoming a great year for video games.
