WEEKEND RECAP
@ Wichita Falls Wildcats – Kay Yeager Coliseum – Wichita Falls, TX

FRIDAY, 1/7/2011: The Monsters defeated the Wichita Falls Wildcats in Wichita Falls, Texas by a final score of 4-1. This was Monsters’ assistant coach Mike Perkins’ first time back to Wichita Falls as assistant coach since he was assistant coach for the Wildcats through the ‘06-’07 season.

SATURDAY, 1/8/2011: Fresno split the two-game series in Wichita Falls, dropping Saturday’s contest by a final score of 5-3. The Monsters were 1 for 4 on the power play.

NAHL Monsters Transactions: The Fresno Monsters completed a trade with the Owatonna Express in the NAHL, sending forward Nick Indelicato to Minnesota in exchange for defenseman Garrett Orhn. The Monsters also added forward Maxwell Douglas to the roster.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
T.J. POWERS: Powers had an impressive weekend for the Monsters in Wichita Falls against the Wildcats. Friday he tallied two goals and one assist, and Saturday he scored the team’s only power play goal of the game.

MATT COLEMAN: Coleman had earned at least one point in each game this weekend. On Friday he assisted the team’s game-winning goal and scored an empty-net goal. He also scored a goal in Saturday’s contest.
